Insurance & Billing
Insurance & Billing Made Simple
At Cradle Thru College Care, we believe families should understand both their child's care and the costs associated with that care. Our team works hard to provide clear communication regarding insurance, billing, and coverage questions so there are no surprises along the way.
If you ever have questions about your insurance coverage or a statement from our office, we're happy to help. Please call us at 816-942-5437.
Insurance Plans We Accept
We participate with most major commercial insurance plans and TRICARE.
At this time, we do not accept Medicaid plans.
For families without participating insurance coverage, we offer self-pay options. Please contact our office at 816-942-5437 for current self-pay rates and additional information.
Insurance networks can change, so we encourage families to contact our office prior to their first visit to verify participation with their specific plan.
Please remember that understanding your insurance benefits, deductible, copay, coinsurance, and coverage limitations is ultimately the responsibility of the policy holder.
What to Bring to Your Visit
Please bring:
- Your current insurance card
- A photo ID for the responsible party
- Any updated demographic or insurance information
If your insurance changes, please notify our office as soon as possible.
Understanding Your Financial Responsibility
As a courtesy, we submit claims directly to your insurance company.
Depending on your individual insurance plan, you may be responsible for:
- Copayments
- Deductibles
- Coinsurance
- Non-covered services
Payment of known patient responsibility is expected at the time of service.
Because every insurance plan is different, your insurance company will ultimately determine the amount they cover and any remaining patient responsibility.
Self-pay patients are responsible for payment at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
Well Visits and Additional Concerns
Many insurance plans fully cover preventive well-child visits.
However, when significant medical concerns are addressed during the same appointment, your insurance company may apply additional charges, copays, deductibles, or coinsurance.
Examples may include:
- ADHD management
- Anxiety or depression concerns
- Asthma
- Eczema
- Constipation
- Chronic medical conditions
- Behavioral concerns
- New illnesses requiring evaluation
Our goal is always to provide comprehensive care while following insurance billing guidelines.
Preventive Screenings and Questionnaires
As part of providing high-quality pediatric care, we follow evidence-based recommendations from the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Certain screenings, questionnaires, and procedures may be billed separately depending on your insurance plan and benefits.
Examples include developmental screenings, behavioral screenings, depression screenings, and other preventive health assessments.
Newborn Insurance Coverage
One of the most important tasks after your baby is born is adding them to your health insurance plan.
Most insurance companies require newborns to be added within a limited timeframe, often within 30 days of birth.
Please contact your insurance company as soon as possible after delivery and notify our office once your baby's insurance information becomes available.
Visit our Newborn Insurance Checklist page for step-by-step guidance.
