๐ Be a Water Watcher! Drowning can happen fast and quietly, so always have a grown-up watching closely. We call this person a Water Watcher! ๐ถ๏ธ

๐ Pool Safety at Home If you have a pool at home, fences are a MUST! ๐ก
โ Pool fencing should:
๐ฆบ Life Jackets = Life Savers
Not all floaties are safe. Those cute water wings? Not great! ๐ฌ Use only U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets for boating, swimming, or being near open water.
โ Make sure the life jacket:
But remember: swimming lessons don't make a child "drown-proof." Kids still need watching, fences, and life jackets.

- Stay within arm's reach of young or new swimmers ๐คฒ
- Put away phones and avoid chatting with others ๐ต
- Switch off with another adult every 15-30 minutes to stay fresh ๐

โ Pool fencing should:
- Be 4 feet high or more ๐
- Go all the way around the pool (4-sided)
- Have gates that close and latch by themselves ๐ช
- Have slats less than 4 inches apart to stop climbing ๐งโ๏ธ
