I believe the best pediatric care comes from building lasting relationships with children and their families. One of the things I love most about pediatrics is the opportunity to care for children through every stage of development—from newborn visits and first steps to learning to drive, applying to college, and becoming independent young adults.
After completing my pediatric residency at Children's Mercy Kansas City, I spent more than 16 years caring for children throughout the Kansas City area, including extensive experience in Children's Mercy Urgent Care. While I enjoyed caring for children during unexpected illnesses and injuries, I missed the opportunity to build long-term relationships with families. Joining Cradle Thru College Care allowed me to return to what I love most—partnering with families and watching children grow over time.
As both a pediatrician and a mom, I understand the joys and challenges of raising children. My goal is to provide evidence-based care, practical guidance, and a trusted medical home where families feel heard, supported, and confident in their child's care.
I have special interests in newborn care, breastfeeding support, ADHD, adolescent health, mental health, and preventive medicine. As a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist, I enjoy helping families navigate feeding challenges and supporting parents during the newborn period.
I am currently accepting new patients and welcome expectant parents for complimentary prenatal visits. I provide newborn hospital care at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission, Menorah Medical Center, and Overland Park Regional Medical Center, allowing me to meet many families shortly after their baby's birth and continue caring for their children as they grow.
When I'm not caring for patients, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two sons, gardening, traveling, and exploring new adventures with my family.
